We have been customers of Durand's for over 30 years and have always had an excellent relationship with the service department. However, this past experience was very different from our prior experiences. Our issue was that our 2019 Chevrolet Equinox battery was dead after 2 years. This was the second battery installed and we wanted to have a parasitic electric test done to make sure that there was not an issue with a one of the features drawing power when the car was off. We left the car off on Thursday afternoon and it was ready on Monday afternoon. We don't know why it took so long to determine the issue, but we believe that the service manager Russ Sweeney involvement complicated issues. He called us twice and, in both instances, started by asking us what was wrong with car. We had to go through the same problem each time. In addition, he seemed confused as to what they were going to do next, and my wife made the comment that he projected no confidence in what he was doing. We have gotten to know the service staff well and have always appreciated their understanding of the issue and their feedback and follow-up is always target and made sense. The addition of Russ Sweeney to the mix did nothing but confuse us. We hope that this is not the new Durand process in the service department because it really did not impress us at all. The service manager should be available to resolve disputes not to micromanage the staff or the customers.

Great group of folks Durand's service department, always receive quality work on my truck. Only complaint is high cost for work, but that's with any dealership, lots of overhead.

Brian Butka, our salesperson, was such a delight to work with. He understood the situation we were in and helped put us in a new vehicle while getting rid of a problem vehicle with very little hassle. There seemed to be zero pressure to buy right away - but we did anyway - and Brian was such a personable guy that we were very comfortable working with him and very happy with the price and the deal we were offered. His knowledge of the vehicle and its functions was top notch. I think we sat in the car with him for at least 20 mins, maybe more, before we drove off to make sure we knew what every button did and what every feature offered. Mike was also easy to work with and pretty generous on the trade - which he ultimately decided would be an auction vehicle. Joe was also a pleasure to work with as well to sign the paperwork and finalize options we had money-wise and with the financing - he made sure we understood every line item and everything that was included in the sales contract and the impact of what we chose. There was no steering in one direction or the other - the focus was all on what we felt comfortable with. All around, this was a great purchasing experience. We won’t (shouldn’t) be in the market for another vehicle for a very long time for my wife or myself, however we will recommend anyone considering a Chevy (or other non-Chevy trade they might have that they are interested in) to go to Durand.
